Greenhouse

Native Plants for the Carolinian Life Zone

Kayanase’s current greenhouse was built in 2010 and is nearly 55,000 square feet, and it features a retractable roof. Attached is a 9000 square foot warehouse and office building. Our organization is about restoring Mother Earth holistically through the collection of native seeds, to seed progressing, seed propagation, planting, monitoring and eventually back to healthful biodiversity. Kayanase is dedicated to improving the health of Mother Earth using science-based approaches and Traditional Ecological knowledge.

Thank You

We would like to extend a BIG thank you to the Government of Canada for supporting our Carolinian Life Zone Enhancement Project through the 2 Billion Tree Program. This funding allowed us to upgrade and expand the Kayanase greenhouse, boosting its productivity. As a result, Kayanase will further contribute to the propagation of Carolinian plants and seedlings, positively impacting climate change.
